Dr David Knox

Dr David Knox graduated from the University of Sydney and completed his residency at Gosford Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has more than 35 years’ experience in General Practice.
Dr Knox has lived on the Central Coast with his wife Jo and family for the past 30 years. During this time, he has been an active and well-known member of the local community through his various sporting affiliations.
Dr Knox has a great passion for General Practice and has a keen interest in caring for patients of all ages. His areas of interest include paediatrics, family counselling, men’s health, skin cancer medicine and sports medicine.
Outside of medicine, David enjoys cricket, plays high-level tennis, and loves spending time with his grandchildren.

Dr John Lawson grew up and studied in Townsville before beginning his career as a practising pharmacist in North Queensland and the United Kingdom. He later studied medicine and went on to become a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
With qualifications in both pharmacy and medicine, Dr Lawson brings a strong understanding of medication management, patient care and family medicine. He has broad medical interests across most areas of general practice and enjoys caring for patients of all ages.
Dr Lawson also provides minor skin procedures, cryotherapy and other common general practice procedures.
Outside of medicine, John is a passionate cricket lover and is heavily involved with the Terrigal Matcham Cricket Club. He enjoys coaching, training and supporting young players, and can often be found at the cricket nets helping his boys and other local juniors develop their skills.
John also enjoys fishing and spending quality time with his family, who share his love of cricket.
Dr Fatema Chowdhury
MBBS, FRACGP, MRCGP(UK), DRCOG, DFSRH, PDip Skin Cancer Medicine
Dr Fatema Chowdhury is a UK-trained female General Practitioner and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She has extensive experience in women’s health, sexual health, and family planning, with a particular interest in long-acting reversible contraception (LARC), including Mirena IUD and Implanon insertion and removal.
Dr Chowdhury has completed Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and provides comprehensive skin checks and a range of skin procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and small local flap repairs. She also manages selected skin cancers and pre-cancerous lesions using non-invasive techniques such as cryotherapy, curettage, and electrocauterisation.
She cares for patients across all age groups and manages a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, with a strong focus on preventative healthcare and patient-centred care. Dr Chowdhury is fluent in English, Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu, enabling her to deliver culturally sensitive care to a diverse community.
Clinical Interests and Services: Women’s health, sexual health and STI screening/management, family planning, long-acting reversible contraception (Implanon and IUD insertion and removal), menopause management and hormone replacement therapy (HRT), chronic disease management (including hypertension, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease), preventative healthcare and immunisations, cervical screening, antenatal, newborn and paediatric care, mental health support, skin checks and skin procedures, skin biopsies, excisions and small local flaps, non-invasive skin cancer treatments (cryotherapy, curettage, electrocauterisation), iron infusions, and pessary fitting for vaginal prolapse.
